The USS Enterprise travels back in time and arrives in Earth's atmosphere after being caught in a slingshot effect generated by an encounter with the Black Star in the year 2267. (TOS episode: "Tomorrow is Yesterday", TOS novel: From History's Shadow)
In New York City, Gary Seven's Beta 5 computer momentarily detects the Enterprise in orbit and transporter activity in Nebraska. Following prerecorded instructions, Beta 5 sends Roberta Lincoln to the Enterprise in 2268. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)
John Christopher is debriefed by James Wainwright at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Wainwright shows Christopher military reconnaissance satellite photos of the Enterprise taken in 1968. Christopher recalls having seen that shape for a couple of seconds before it disappeared. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)

1985: The bombing of Greenpeace vessel Rainbow Warrior prompts a sailor to resign from the French navy in protest. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 2)
1992: Khan Noonien Singh holds an assembly with delegates from nations in southern Asia and the Middle East. He annexes their countries and issues an ultimatum. As a demonstration of his orbiting satellite Morning Star, Khan destroys a section of Earth's ozone layer above the south pole. 1971: TOS comic: "Nova-Thirteen" concludes with the 4th installment, in TV21 Weekly #94.
1978: TOS comic: "Ice Journey" is released in Portuguese in O Caminho das Estrelas (Aguiar) #17.
1980: The 12th installment of TOS comic: "Aberration on Abaris" is published in daily newspapers by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate.
1981: The 76th installment of TOS comic: "The Savage Within" is published.
1982: The 132nd installment of TOS comic: "The Wristwatch Plantation" is published.
