The 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games was a competition of the Olympic Games held in Barcelona, Spain in 1992.

When explaining his decision to commit suicide and save the people of Cygnus III from Toral, son of Duras to his father, Worf, Alexander Rozhenko cited the example of Derek Redmond, a competitor at the games. Redmond was a runner in the games who tore a muscle in his right leg while running a competition and was helped across the finish line by his father, who rushed onto the track.
