2166 was, on Earth's calendar, the 67th year of the 22nd century, and the seventh year of the 2160s decade. Although this was a time period before Human formulation of stardates, this era begins with stardate 2166.0.[1]
Events[]
- Section 31 is exposed and dismantled, rendering the organization dormant for generations.[2]
- Rigel is admitted to the Federation.[3]
- The Battle of Delta Doradus occours. The Orion forces withdrew, and Starfleet is successful in its mission, as shipping and commerce in the region became more stable.[4]
- Zarta is the subject of a cursory survey by a deep galaxy ship, using radio film, however the ship is destroyed before returning to its mother ship. Its brief record showed the planet's populace as having a high level of technology.[5]
- Rafael Douglas gives the commencement speech to Starfleet Academy's first graduating class. Among the graduates was James Ogaleesha Davis, maternal grandfather of James T. Kirk.[6]
- Spring
- USS Ares and USS Charybdis were expeted to be launched.[7]
Promotions and Transfers[]
- Caroline Paris is promoted to captain and given command first the USS Vesta and later the USS Pioneer.[2]
- Captain Marcus Williams resigns his Starfleet commission.[2]
- Captain Malcolm Reed is transfered to the staff of Admiral Jonathan Archer as his execuitve assistant.[2]
