1968: Actor Will Smith is born.
1997: NASA's space shuttle Atlantis launches for mission STS-86.
2162: General Valk shows Federation representative Admiral Jonathan Archer a recording of an apparent Suliban attack on Kemsar Colony. Archer and his aide, Lieutenant Travis Mayweather, convince Valk that the USS Endeavour would be able to track the raiders who had kidnapped the children from the colony, and Valk accepts Archer's offer to stay aboard Endeavour.
