1955: Actor James Dean dies.
1992: The aircraft carrier USS Enterprise is transferred to Atlantic Fleet Command in Norfolk, Virginia. (The Official Fan Club Magazine Issue 92: "Operation: Enterprise!")
1993: Khan Noonien Singh is lured to the Ajorra caves in central India by Vasily Hunyadi, who then uses an underwater concussive charge to trigger an earthquake in the region of Maharashtra. More than 10,000 people are killed, but the blast fails to assassinate Khan. Joaquin Weiss is gravely wounded, recovering months later.
