34 Kraol III was the Klingon designation for a planet, the third planet of the 34 Kraol system, located in the Triangle sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. It was the homeworld of a developing humanoid civilization.

34 Kraol III had a dry, temperate climate with an atmosphere comparable to that on Qo'noS. The rare mineral durallium was found throughout the surface, but a pronounced concentration was located in an inhabited river valley on one of its continents. It was populated by nomadic tribes and scattered settlements of Kraol III natives, who were a feline/Klingonoid species, resulting in the world earning a technological/sociopolitical index of 011110-22 and a planetary trade profile of C---C--/-E. 34 Kraol III was first discovered in 2270 by the D7A K't'agga-class IKS Dun Da Spu' under the command of Koron vestai Zu'ud. (FASA RPG module: An Imbalance of Power)
Twenty-four days later, on reference stardate 2/1105, it was visited by the Federation starship USS Essex commanded by Salar, who discerned that the orbiting Klingon starship's crew intended to commence durallium mining on the surface. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)
Two Larson-class destroyers and a Loknar-class frigate soon joined Essex in orbit. Within a couple of months, the Klingon-allied Tribe of Utta invaded Lirmar hoping to force the inhabitants into slave labor for the mines. (FASA RPG module: An Imbalance of Power)
- If won by Utta, 34 Kraol III would become a holding of the Klingon Empire. However, gameplay determined the battle's outcome.
