- A Soviet probe becomes the first Human-made object to orbit Luna.
- 1968
- Gejalik sneaks into Gary Seven's office in New York City and uses the Beta 5 computer to transport himself and a Vulcan through time to the Starfleet starship USS Enterprise. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)
- 2163
- At the behest of the Three Sisters, Devna begins swaying Federation Defense Minister Min glasch Noar toward aggressive military postures to destabilize the Federation. USS Pioneer remains in a decaying orbit of a super-Jovian planet, her crew sheltering in radiation-protected areas. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: A Choice of Futures)
