The Vulcan system is a trinary star system, the home system of the Vulcan race and their homeworld of Vulcan. The system is known on Earth as 40 Eridani. It is located roughly 16 light-years from Earth.
The primary of the Vulcan system is 40 Eridani A (aka: Omicron-2 Eridani and as Nevasa to the Vulcans) a spectral class K1V star. The system has three planets: the planet closest to the primary star is a class B uninhabited world; the other two planets are T'Khut, which has one moon, and Vulcan, which are in a binary orbit with each other.
After the planets is an asteroid belt, and then two more stars, which are also in a binary star orbit. (Star Trek: Star Charts)
- 40 Eridani A
- Class B planet
- Vulcan
- T'Khut
- 40 Eridani B
- 40 Eridani C
"Star Trek: The Worlds of the Federation" contradicts "Star Trek: Star Charts", as it does not mention the second and third star outside of the asteroid belt.
