The 9th century was a century of Earth's calendar, ranging from the years 800 to 899 and comprised of decades from the 800s to the 890s. Although this was a time period before Human formulation of stardates, this era begins with stardate 0800.0 or reference stardate -12/00.[1][2]

- Kahless the Unforgettable's defeat of Molor brings about the First Klingon Empire and also gives rise to the Fek'Ihri Horde.[3][4]
- A sustained war of the Solari civilization begins on the planet Solais V.[5]
- Experiments in spacecraft technology begin early on Vulcan, and in the city of Devlarmby the warlord D'Vir prepares the first such spaceship. A rival warlord by the name of Nu'Val stops the project with a devastating neutron bomb air strike, killing over one million inhabitants of the "City of Shadows".[6][7]
- New Days Orion space expansion leads to a weakening centralized government, with the Gaetano Region declaring independence, triggering a war with the Botchok Planetary Congress. By 867 AD (stardate −12/67), the outermost fifteen regions had effectively seceded and social conditions worsened across Orion space.[8][9]
