The AFS Rex (CSN-04) was a 25th century Khitomer Alliance starship, the tier 6-rated Rex-class pilot escort prototype in Allied Fleet Service operation in the 2410s decade. (STO website: Both Worlds: The King and Collective Event!)

The Alliance designed the Rex as a hybrid between the 24th century Federation Starfleet Defiant-class escort and the contemporary Dominion Jem'Hadar fighter. Like the latter, the AFS Rex was often deployed with two wing-mate starships in a squadron.
This ship was named after Dukan'Rex, both representing connection between the Gamma and Alpha Quadrants. (STO website: Both Worlds: The King and Collective Event!)
