The AFS Temer (CSN-02) was a 25th century Khitomer Alliance starship, the tier 6-rated Temer-class raider prototype in Allied Fleet Service operation in the 2410s decade. (STO website: House Shattered: 11th Anniversary Event!)
Service history[]
The ship was named for Commander Temer. In the year 2409, the fledgling Romulan Republic was a guest at the Khitomer Conference. Proconsul D'Tan hope to gain official recognition for the new Romulan nation from the Klingon Empire. Klingon High Councillor Woldan was arguing at the podium when the Tal Shiar beamed an explosive device in behind him. Temer, a senior officer of the Romulan Republic Navy at the time, rushed to the stage and surrounded himself and the bomb with a personal forcefield. He was killed in the detonation but the explosion was contained within the forcefield. Wodan was swayed by the Romulan's sacrifice, and the Klingon Empire recognized the Romulan Republic as a legitimate nation. (STO - From the Ashes mission: "Turning Point")
The prototype entered service just after the Shattering of the Klingon Empire during the Klingon Civil War of 2411. (STO - House Shattered mission: "Partisans")
The Temer, which bore the CSN registry number 02, representing the Alliance's second joint capital ship type after the AFS Khitomer (CSN-01) and before the AFS Jarok (CSN-03) and AFS Rex (CSN-04). (STO - Both Worlds missions: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", "Explore the Flotilla", "First City")
