In the mirror universe, AKS Qin was a 25th century Klingon Alliance raptor escort starship, the Qin-class heavy raptor prototype in Klingon Defense Force service in the early 2400s decade. (STO - Under Siege mission: "The Hunt is On")
History[]
By the early 25th century, the resurgent Terran Empire had overtaken the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance as the dominant power in known space. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Jabberwocky")
Like in the primary universe,[2] the Klingon Defense Force launched raptor escort classes to combat the Terrans. By 2409, the AKS Qin was among the new generation of raptors, and became the first heavy raptor.
Due to the involvement of the Tholian Assembly in the Temporal Cold War, Tholian meddling brought mirror universe ships into Azure Nebula of the primary universe. The mirror Qin heavy raptor was among the vessels acquired by the Lobi Crystal Consortium and made available to the Klingon Empire. (STO website: Dev Blog : The Temporal Lock Box)
The AKS Qin could be deployed by the admiralty for assignments with other ships. (STO video game: New Dawn game mechanic: "Admiralty System")
In Klingon shipyard interfaces, the Qin visually represented the mirror Qin class from 2410 onwards. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")
