While investigating the Tholian attack on Alpha Unuria, Will Riker and Kyle Riker are increasingly at odds. The Tholian first officer, Nethrax, is having second thoughts about his commander's plans. The Enterprise-D receives a distress call and arrives to find three Tholian ships. Trapped in a Tholian web, the crew of the Enterprise must discover a way out before their ship is destroyed.
