“A Tree Grows on Bajor” is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine comic that was written by R.A. Jones. It was published in 1995 in the second issue of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Maquis: Soldier of Peace.

Sisko and Jake visit Bajor for a ceremony.

Summary[]

Commander Sisko and Jake have been invited to Bajor for a ceremony. Jake feels that the trip is pointless, but changes his mind when he sees the arid wasteland caused by the Cardassians. The ceremony will see the first tree planted, a hylyptus tree. Jake remembers that he and his mother Jennifer planted the same type of tree in the arboretum aboard the Saratoga on the day she died. The ceremony starts and the tree is planted. Jake cries as he watches.
