Aaronson was a Human instructor at Starfleet Academy in the 2250s. His main field of interest was subspace mechanics, which he taught to third-year cadets.
When Aaronson and fellow instructor, Mayhar-Perth, entered the gym in 2251, and found James T. Kirk training, the two left the gymnasium because of their distaste for an incident between Kirk and Benjamin Finney the previous year. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Republic)
