Aasal Soltani was a human male who lived in the 23rd century.
An officer in the Federation Starfleet, he held the rank of Lieutenant in 2246. He was assigned to Outpost Tarsus IV as lead computer specialist in that year.
Shortly before then Governor Adrian Kodos had 4,000 colonists killed Kodos had a raiding party attack the outpost in order to neutralize the Starfleet team and obtain supplies. While both CPO Meizhen Bao and Lieutenant Piotr Nolokov died in the attack on the outpost, Soltani, Lieutenant Terri Bridges, and Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Lorca survived the attack.
After the USS Narbonne arrived, Soltani helped coordinate relief efforts. Following the resolution of the immediate crisis and the arrival of the USS Enterprise, Soltani and the other outpost survivors were relieved by another Starfleet team, and returned to Starbase 11 for debriefing.
