Abida was a 23rd century Human woman. She was a Starfleet officer and served as commanding officer of the SS Charles Darwin, a Daedalus-class science vessel.

History[]

In 2267, Abida took responsibility for the planet killer from Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. Her no-nonsense attitude prompted Spock to mention to Kirk that personnel aboard science vessels served for lengthy periods without social interaction.

A few hours after the Enterprise departed the area, Abida was killed when the Charles Darwin was destroyed by an insane alien aboard an ancient fighter escort who had followed the doomsday machine for three million years. (TOS - New Visions comic: "Cry Vengeance")
