King Aelas was a male Aelasan who led his people through the reform of their civilization in the early 23rd century. He became a revered historical figure by his people, so much so his people was named after him. (ST video game: Star Trek Online; STO mission: "Saturday's Child")

History[]

By the late 22nd century, the Aelasans controlled a powerful empire. However, continuous infighting led the Aelasan species to be threatened to extinction. Realizing his people was weakening, King Aelas led a complete reform of the Aelasan civilization, thus abandoning their advanced technology and becoming a tribal culture. Aelas became a very important and revered figure in Aelasan culture, and the Aelasans still carried their tribal traditions by the 25th century. (ST video game: Star Trek Online)
