MAJOR SPOILERS
WARNING! This article contains MAJOR spoilers for the recently released mission Axiom. Caution is advised.

In an alternate reality, the Aetherian frigate was a 25th century Aetherian spacecraft type, a frigate starship class in Aetherian Concordium service in the 2410s decade. It was a variant of, and visually identical to, the Aetherian de-escalator. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Axiom")

History and technical specifications[]

Aetherian starships like the Revelation-class, were advanced, ethereal looking polyhedra deployed by the Aetherians to combat the Borg of the multiverse. (STO website: Unparalleled: Command the Aetherian Revelation!)

Aetherian starships were warp-capable. (STO - Patrol mission: "Unwanted Guests")

The frigate shared its design with the de-escalator. Ships of either class appeared as short, tall vessels with multiple segmented components. Its hull surface was segmented further, consisting of light grey panels with a subtle pattern of intricate, multi-colored swirls. The edges of these segments were gold-trimmed. A visually defining feature was the diamond-shaped, gold-colored, deflector dish-like depression at the bow of the ship, bisected a central bar. Typically for Concordium starships of this time period, an Aetherian frigate was equipped with Aetherian proton beam arrays and hypermass torpedo launchers. It was equipped with a sublight engine that emitted a cyan light. Unlike other Concordium ships, the frigate and de-escalator classes rotated along the X-axis during flight. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Axiom")

According to Aetherian dreadnought Harmony commander Thaseen-Fei, the Concordium had come under attack from the Borg Kingdom of the mirror universe and fought back. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Scorpion's Abyss")

In the year 2411, the Khitomer Alliance learned of Aetherian deception during the botched fusion (assimilation) of Borg Cooperative leader Hugh aboard the Harmony in the Ram Izad star system. When Director Hugh and Admiral Kuumaarke confronted Leader Fei about the lies, the Harmony opened reality vortices that brought three unidentified Revelation-class cruisers, one frigate and one de-escalator to reinforce the fleeing Aetherian dreadnought. The Aetherian ships engaged the Allies in battle. The Alliance defeated all Concordium ships in the Battle of Ram Izad, forcing the Harmonyto escape through a reality vortex and leaving Control Borg ships in its wake to waylay the Alliance pursuers. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Axiom")
