Millions of years ago, when Cybertron fell into civil war, Airachnid joined the Decepticons becoming a dangerous assassin among their ranks and developing a rivalry with the Autobot Arcee. (TAS - Star Trek vs. Transformers comic: "Issue 3") She was part of Megatron's inner circle while on Earth, joining her fellows aboard Trypticon when they left Earth at the onset of World War III. When the group boarded Fortress Maximus to attack the Autobots above Cygnus VII, the chaos resulted in them all crashing onto the moon and winding up in stasis lock.
In the 23rd century, the Cybertronians' resting place was stumbled upon by the United Federation of Planets which caused Fortress Maximus to reactive his passengers, the Decepticons being the first to awaken. (TAS - Star Trek vs. Transformers comic: "Issue 2") Wasting no time, the Decepticons began conquering the colony which resulted in the USS Enterprise being called in, Airachnid being interested in keeping James T. Kirk as a pet, which scared off the Decepticons. Picking up on a Decepticon signal, the Decepticons fell back to another of the system's moons where they found Trypticon being occupied by Kuri's Klingons. When the Decepticons and Klingons agreed to an alliance, Trypticon scanned their downed warbird to transport the force back to Cygnus VII, disabling the Enterprise along the way, where the Decepticons disembarked to begin attacking. (TAS - Star Trek vs. Transformers comic: "Issue 2")
When Starscream betrayed the Decepticons and Klingons, making for Qo'noS to conquer the Klingon Empire for himself, the Decepticons abandoned the battle, warping off after him. Arriving in the First City, the Decepticons began conquering it before the Autobots and Starfleet arrived. Though the Decepticons initially held the advantage in battle, they were overwhelmed by a force of D7s and defeated. As part of the peace agreement that Kirk had negotiated, the Decepticons were left in Klingon custody. (TAS - Star Trek vs. Transformers comic: "Issue 5")
