Airborne Snow Borg

Airborne snow monstrosity in 2410.

An airborne snow monstrosity was a non-humanoid Borg snowman, found in the Tide of Ice in q's Winter Wonderland. It was one of four varieties of snow monstrosity, alongside bursting snow monstrosity, guardian snow monstrosity, and frigid snow monstrosity. An airborne snow monstrosity was able to hover above the ground. (STO - Q's Winter Wonderland mission: "Tide of Ice")

Appearance and specifications[]

The airborne monster's body consisted of two snow large snowballs. The smaller was place on top of the other and served as head. Its face was made of a green-white carrot nose, and green, branching twigs as brows. Each of the two eyes was represented by a blue lump of coal. Five lumps arranged in a line made up the mouth. The face appeared to frown.

The monster's arms were made of Borg armatures attached to either side of the body-ball. Connected to the back was a large metallic arch. Tubes dangles from the lower edges on either side of the arch. The Borg componentes were asymmetric.

This snow monstrosity was armed with an inexhaustible supply of "unmelting" snowballs. Snowballs could not kill opponent who was not a snow monster, but could freeze them temporarily when hit often past a threshold. On the defensive, the airborne monstrosity was fast and agile, trading durability for agility. It would usually spawn in pairs or groups, and was often escorted by assimilated snowmen. Due to its ability to hover, this monstrosity could easily fly over Ice Fortress defenders and defenses. Its strength was rated equivalent to a commander or subcommander in the Alpha Quadrant Alliance.

The Snow Borg attempted to take the Ice Fortress in the Tide of Ice region on top of every hour, organised in several waves. The airborne snow monstrosity occured often in waves four and nine. (STO - Q's Winter Wonderland mission: "Tide of Ice")
