The Ajanni were a species of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant who frequented Oblivion, an unaligned space station cobbled together from myriad derelict spacecraft and located near Ubarrak and Cardassian space. They were unaligned themselves.
One of the Ajanni visitors was described as "squarish and elderly looking in a stately black robe". It is unknown in how far his appearance was typical for one of his race.
