The Alameda Naval Base was a former naval base for the United States Navy on Earth. The base was located on San Francisco Bay, across from the city of San Francisco.

In 1986, Commanders Nyota Uhura and Pavel Chekov visited the base after traveling back in time from 2286. They hoped to locate a suitable nuclear reactor from which to harvest antiprotons to recrystallize the dilithium crystals of the HMS Bounty. They found the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) docked at the base and returned later to harvest the antiprotons. Uhura escaped, but Chekov was detained by the crew of the Enterprise and was seriously injured attempting to escape. (TOS movie: The Voyage Home)

Alameda Naval Base was closed in 1997.
