Alan Kobayashi is a scenic artist who worked on the TNG and ENT series, as well as Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Experience, and more recently on Picard. He produced graphics for short stories in Michael Jan Friedman's New Worlds, New Civilizations anthology and a map of Cardassia City for Andrew J. Robinson's novel A Stitch in Time.

The character of Alan M. Kobayashi was named for him.

Outside of Star Trek, he worked on Babylon 5, The X-Files, and many other TV series.
