Alata

Alata was a Kujalan woman and the President of Kujal in the late 23rd century. Like all members of her race at that time, she was less than a foot in height.

In 2266, Kujal was visited by three giants: Kirk, Spock and Uhura of the USS Enterprise. They were captured by General Kwy were taken to President Alata in Fara-3 City. After telling them the history of her world, and rejecting their offer to have her people moved to another world, she agreed to their offer to find a cure for the Kujalans' shrinking. Uhura impressed Alata with her courage when she offered to stay behind as a hostage to ensure the Enterprise would return. After a cure was found, Alata told Kirk that Kwy, for attempting to sabotage the mission, would be the last person restored to normal size. (TOS comic: "Dwarf Planet")
