The Alavhet Public Library was a structure present in outer Ki Baratan on the planet Romulus which was open to Romulan citizens. In the late 24th century, Spock travelled there in order to read Romulan books in philosophy such as the works of Vorkan Trov to serve as a distraction whilst he attempted to piece together the recent turmoil within the Romulan Star Empire. The Vulcan believed that the old section of the Public Library reminded him of his childhood days in Shi'Kahr. (DS9 novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)
