The Alcyone were a civilization native to the Alcyone (or Eta Tauri) star system. (ST website: StarTrek.com)

They were believed by the Federation to have destroyed the last Tarellian vessel in the 2350s decade, around the year 2356. (TNG episode: "Haven")
