Aldebaran whiskey is a green-colored alcoholic beverage. A whiskey from Aldebaran III, the drink appears to be an "acquired taste" to some, and is also a very potent beverage. (DS9 - Prophecy and Change short story: "... Loved I Not Honor More")
Captain Jean-Luc Picard once obtained a bottle of Aldebaran whiskey that had been produced around stardate 36455. The whiskey produced on the northern continent that year was considered to be a very good beverage, as there had not been too much rain that year. Captain Picard eventually gave that bottle to Guinan, who brought in on board the USS Enterprise-D and kept it in Ten-Forward for a special occasion. Lieutenant Commander Data served that bottle to Montgomery Scott shortly after Scott had been rescued from the USS Jenolen. By the time Data served the bottle to Scott the label had faded, so he was unable to identify the beverage beyond the fact that it was green. Scott took the bottle to the holodeck, and shared it with Captain Picard, who informed Scott of the origin of the bottle. (TNG episode & novelization: Relics)
Quark served Aldebaran whiskey in his bar on Deep Space 9. (DS9 episode: "Prophet Motive", DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Ferenginar: Satisfaction is Not Guaranteed)
Grauq was fond of Aldebaran whiskey. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
- The "It is green" dialogue between Data and Scotty is a reference to a similiar dialogue used by Scotty in the TOS episode: "By Any Other Name".
