Aldos II science station

The Aldos II science station was a 24th century Federation scientific research laboratory outpost built to study the biological diversity in the tropical jungles of Aldos II.

Specifics[]

It was constructed on a mountainside near a jungle connected to a maze of caverns. A nearby plateau hosted a landing field.

History[]

In the 2370s, the science station was simulated in a holodeck scenario for Starfleet Academy cadets aboard the USS Fearless as part of their final exam for STAR 104, a planetary survival course. In the scenario, the cadets' type-7 shuttlecraft Gulliver crashed near the station, which had been converted by Cardassians into a dilithium refinery and command center. To escape the planet, cadets needed to infiltrate the base and send a distress signal to the Fearless or stow away aboard a Cardassian shuttlecraft.
