Aleph III

Aleph III is the third planet in the Aleph system and was home to Federation Genetics Research Station 17.

History and specifics[]

Aleph III is class M with a thin atmosphere requiring respirators for breathing. It has one main continent with rough terrain and mountain ranges. Lifeforms include scrub brush, some heavier vegetation and small animals. Surface ores produced magnetic interference for sensors, transporters, subspace communication and short-range communications.

At some point, the research station was established. In the late 2260s, Cyrano Jones visited the planet and was overheard talking about the station's genetically engineered dervishes at Deep Space Station K-7. Klingon Intelligence assigned Koloth, son of Lasshar to raid the station and bring back the dervishes. (FASA RPG - Adventure Book module: Again, Troublesome Tribbles)

In 2270, on reference stardate 2/1109, Genetics Research Station 17 was ordered closed. The USS Enterprise retrieved all personnel and data from the station. (FASA RPG modules: Again, Troublesome Tribbles, Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)
