Aleph system

The Aleph system is a star system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant, located inside Federation space near the Klingon Neutral Zone.

History and specifics

The Aleph system's orbit is the location of a number of planets, including third planet Aleph III, a Federation science colony. (FASA RPG - Adventure Book module: Again, Troublesome Tribbles)

It may be the home system for the interstellar Alephan civilization. (DS9 novella: The Star Ghost)

In the 23rd century, the system was considered to be in an isolated location. Aleph was a stable star, with ore carriers and some solar wind-powered spacecraft a common sight in the system. The Aleph Prime mining colony operated on an asteroid. Rehabilitation Colony 7 was located two AUs from Aleph Prime. (TOS novel: The Entropy Effect)

In 2270, the USS Enterprise visited the system to close down Genetics Research Station 17 on Aleph III. Koloth, son of Lasshar led a privateer D7-class Klingon battlecruiser into the system to raid the station for its genetically engineered dervishes. (FASA RPG - Adventure Book module: Again, Troublesome Tribbles)

Also that year, the Enterprise responded to an ultimate override transmission from Aleph Prime. Klingon border patrol fightcraft USS Aerfen visited for shore leave and maintenance. (TOS novel: The Entropy Effect)

Aleph Prime was not explicitly cited as being in the Aleph system, but was assumed so for purposes of this wiki. It was unspecified whether Rehabilitation Colony 7 was constructed on an asteroid or planet.
