Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

Alex Terapane was a male Human in Starfleet in the 24th century.

As of 2376, Terapane held the rank of captain and was commanding officer of the USS Musashi. In that year, Terapane contacted Captain David Gold of the USS da Vinci to inform him that his chief medical officer Elizabeth Lense, was missing. (SCE eBook: Security)

In 2379, following the disastrous Tezwa affair, the Musashi, along with the USS Amargosa and the USS Republic were sent to aid the USS Enterprise with the reconstruction of Tezwa after millions of its citizens were killed and most of its major cities' structures were destroyed by the Klingons. (TNG novels: A Time to Kill, A Time to Heal)

Terapane remained in command of the Musashi until 2381. During the Borg invasion that year, the Musashi and the USS Forrestal, USS Ajax, USS Tirpitz, USS Potemkin, and USS Baliste were assigned to the defense of Deneva against an equal number of Borg cubes. After the Borg destroyed his supporting vessels, Terapane had Ideene arm their remaining transphasic torpedo warheads, then evacuated the ship and had Mark Strigl launch their log buoy. Although they could not hope to save Deneva, Terapane intended to make the Borg pay for the planet, and had the ship launch between two of the remaining cubes then detonate the torpedoes, destroying the enemy vessels. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)

This character's death occurred in the First Splinter timeline. In the prime timeline, events unfolded differently, meaning this person might not have died at that point, or that they died in a different manner.
