Alexander Dylan Glideman-Adler was a Human man. He was the yardmaster for the San Francisco Fleet Yards in the 23rd century.

History[]

In the early 2240s, Glideman-Adler graduated from Starfleet Academy. As an ensign, he first saw the USS Enterprise while it was under Captain Robert April.

Although he never got to serve aboard the ship, many times Glideman-Adler oversaw its repairs, including those for April, Christopher Pike, Will Decker and James T. Kirk.

In the 2280s, Glideman-Adler recorded a personal log entry as he traveled aboard a Federation travel pod passing Challenger Dock, where the USS Enterprise-A was berthed, citing the progress of repairs following Montgomery Scott's schedule. He allowed the Enterprise-A to be moved to a berth outside of Luna orbit, stating that the dock was needed for more pressing business. Once the starship passed Luna, however, a sensor drone simulated the Enterprise-A's presence so that the ship could depart on an unsanctioned mission. (TOS comic: "Debt of Honor")

It was unstated whether Glideman-Adler was aware of the mission, but given his long years of association with Kirk, it was possible.
