Alexander Siddig is an actor who portrayed the character of Julian Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine during its entire run.

He was credited the first three seasons (as well as his guest appearance as Bashir in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Birthright") as Siddig El Fadil, a shortened version of his birth name. Under this name, he also directed the episodes "Business as Usual" and "Profit and Lace". In media, Siddig provided the voice for Bashir in the spin-off game The Fallen and for Star Trek Online.

Siddig has appeared in the films Vertical Limit, Reign of Fire, Kingdom of Heaven, Syriana, The Last Legion, Doomsday and The Fifth Estate. Siddig portrayed Prince Doran Martell in Season 5 of the HBO series, Game of Thrones and reprised the role in the sixth season. Siddig also guest starred in Gotham.
