Algeron is a star with an associated star system located in the space of what was the Federation-Romulan Neutral Zone from the 22nd to the 24th century. (ST reference: Star Charts; Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of D'era: The Romulan Star Empire)

History and specifics[edit | edit source]

In the year 2154, Starfleet's C-in-C Admiral Samuel Gardner had construction started on Earth Starbase 1. The starbase was located on one of the planets in the Algeron system rich in castrodinium and dilithium. The base was completed on 8 February, 2156. However, the starbase was destroyed in battle in May of 2156 along with the Excalibur and, reportedly, the Columbia. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)

Algeron was the former location of planet Algeron III. The Treaty of Algeron was signed on a station in this system in 2311. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)

Twhat, who attended the Starfleet Junior Academy on Rijar in 2370, was from somewhere in the Algeron system. (DS9 novel: Space Camp)

In the 23rd century of the Kelvin timeline, Algeron was considered to be in Romulan space. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

The Last Unicorn Games RPG depicts this system as being near the heart of Romulan space, while Star Charts shows it within the confines of the Neutral Zone. Since both sources were based on three-dimensional maps projected on two-dimensional depictions, the position within the Empire is not treated as definitive by this article. Star Charts shows this system in Beta Quadrant, while the Last Unicorn Games RPG shows this location in Alpha Quadrant.

Alternate realities[edit | edit source]

In the 23rd century of the Kelvin timeline, Algeron system was considered to be in Romulan space. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

In the Fleet Command game software, this system has an ID code of 1026242397.
