The Algeron Effect is the term used to describe the structure of the Algeron star system after a subspace tear caused by an isolytic subspace weapon destroyed the planet Algeron III. Specifically, it refers to the crystallization of the remaining planetary fragments once the subspace tear closed. These crystallized fragments then orbited the Algeron sun, refracting its light.
