Alhamisi Uhura (also known as Damu Pua) was a 23rd century Human man who was the father of Nyota Uhura and the husband of M'Umbha Uhura. (TOS novel: Log Ten)

Biography[]

He and his family were from Dakar in Senegal on Earth. (TOS novel: The Starless World)

He and his wife taught at the University of Nairobi. They and their son were killed in a shuttle accident, survived by their young daughter Nyota. (SNW episode: "Children of the Comet")

Alhamisi had been a professor of African history. (TOS novel: The Disinherited)

Kelvin timeline[]

During a visit to Nyota's uncle Raheem, he was knocked out when there was an explosion near their shuttle. Alhamisi and his wife were then dragged by their daughter to the escape pod. He was then told about Raheem's sacrifice by his daughter.(TOS - Star Trek comic: "Issue 18")

In 2263, Alhamisi appeared to Nyota in a vision created by the previous, deceased inhabitants of New Vulcan.(TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 9")
