For other uses, see Alice.

Alice was a 31st century Federation spacecraft, a Nirvana-class flyer in civilian service following its recovery in the 3180s decade. It was named and operated by Michael Burnham, a time-displaced Starfleet officers who joined the couriers. (DSC episode: "Wonderlands")

Service history and disposition[]

Alice Nirvana-class

The Alice in the 3180s.

The Nirvana class was a starship type smaller than a standard Starfleet shuttlecraft. This particular vessel had been abandoned for some time by the 32nd century, and was left to drift as part of an asteroid belt at Necropolis.

The courier Brodie was aware of the wreck in the 3180s. When the couriers Cleveland Booker and Michael Burnham visited the Necropolis circa three weeks after Burnham's arrival in this century, Brodie pointed them in the direction of the flyer. Book intended for Burnham to start earning money with this craft.

They staked a a claim on the vessel and returned soon after to perform repairs. Brodie's ship helped Book's ship in repelling White Palm raiders trying to claim the Necropolis for Remington's White Palm cartel.

Burnham then began operating as a courier using this vessel. She named it the Alice, after the children's book Alice in Wonderland. (DSC novel: Wonderlands)

Commander Burnham remembered her year as courier aboard the Alice when she returned to the long-lost ship and crew of the USS Discovery. (DSC episode: "People of Earth")

By 3189, Burnham no longer owned the Alice. (DSC episode: "The Sanctuary")
