Doctor Alice Carlyle was a Human female in Starfleet in the 23rd century. She served as chief medical officer on the USS Calypso prior to that ship's destruction. She was wife to Science Officer Carlyle, mother of Katalya Tremain, and mother-in-law to Jeremy Tremain. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)
