Alice Fontana was a female Human NASA astronaut from Canada in the early 21st century.
In 2020, she was part of the first manned mission to Saturn aboard the UNSS Lewis and Clark under Colonel Shaun Geoffrey Christopher. As such, she was witness to their encounter with a Preserver probe, which switched the consciousness of Shaun Christopher with that of Captain James T. Kirk in the 23rd century. As she had been romantically involved with Christopher in the past, Fontana was able to figure out that he had been replaced by someone else. Later, when Christopher had been returned to his body, she resumed her relationship with him and the two were married in 2021. They would have a son together, whom they named James Kirk Christopher-Fontana. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time)
