"Alien Invasion Foiled Again" is a 20th century short story featuring Captain Proton, part of the literature of the fictional science fiction series The Adventures of Captain Proton.

The story was published in the Captain Proton paperback magazine series. In the story, Proton commanded a battlecruiser repelling an invading fleet. At one point, the cruiser accelerated to warp speed.
In the year 1939, Dirk Renschenhammer, a.k.a. "Dr. Dirk" wrote a letter to Captain Proton editor D.W. "Prof" Smith about the story, complaining that it described sound propagating through the vacuum of space and it featured the impossibility of traveling faster than light.
