Alondra was the third planet in the Pallas XIV system.

It was class J and supported no life. (ST reference: Worlds of the Federation)

History[]

In 2269, a massive cosmic cloud organism devoured the planet, then changed course toward the second planet in the system, Mantilles. The crew of the USS Enterprise watched as the cloud crept across the planet's surface like an amoeba, slowly enveloping it. Its mass was broken apart and slowly digested. When the starship soon faced an energy shortfall, Montgomery Scott beamed chunks of Alondra aboard to provide new matter as fuel for the warp engines.
