Altair VII was a planet, the seventh planet in orbit of the Altair star system, located in treaty boundary quadrant 0 in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, in the vicinity of Federation space.
History and specifics[]
In the year 2269, an unknown entity attacked the population centers of Altair VII, killing millions of people. In response, the starships USS Enterprise, USS Excelsior and USS Republic were sent there to investigate. (TOS - The New Voyages 2 short story: "The Sleeping God")
The Altair Group, a mercenary organization, were based on Altair VII in the 24th century. (DS9 video game: Harbinger)
