Alsuran Empire

The Alsuran Empire in 2374.

The Alsuran Empire was a powerful interstellar nation, an empire controlled by the Alsurans located in the Milky Way Galaxy's Delta Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Year of Hell"; ST reference: Star Charts)

Location[]

The Alsuran Empire was at least several hundred light-years long and wide and covered a portion of what was known as the Alsuran sector in the early 25th century. Several neighboring species lived in the corridor of space between the Alsuran Empire and the rimward Krenim Imperium. The closest homeworlds were those of the Rilnar and Mawasi. The Malkothians' native star system Malkothia was inside Alsuran space. The corridor of unclaimed space between the empire and the B'omar Sovereignty was much smaller than the one separating the Alsurans from the Krenim. (ST reference: Star Charts; STO video game: Delta Rising)

History[]

Between the 22nd and 24th century, the Alsuran Empire was one of the powerful states in its region. The Federation starship USS Voyager passed the empire within a distance of 10 light-years in the year 2374. (VOY episode: "Year of Hell"; ST reference: Star Charts)

In the early 25th century, that region was called the Alsuran sector and became dominated by the Alpha Quadrant Alliance and the Delta Alliance partners. (STO video game: Delta Rising)

Alternate timeline[]

In alternate timelines created by the Krenim temporal weapon ship KIS Kyana Prime, the Alsuran Empire had been erased from history by the Krenim scientist Annorax to make his native Krenim Imperium more powerful. (VOY episode: "Year of Hell")
