Altan Inigo Soong was a 24th century Human man, a scientist specialized in cybernetics, living as citizen among the Soong-type android community of Coppelius in the Ghulion star system in the 2390s decade. (PIC episode: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1")

Biography[]

Altan Inigo Soong was the biological son of the Federation cyberneticist Noonian Soong. (PIC episode: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1")

Noonian had a penchant for giving his children meaningful names. That included his android sons Data and B-4. (TNG movie & novelization: Star Trek Nemesis)

Altan Inigo's initials A.I. referred to artificial intelligence.

He provided retired Starfleet admiral Jean-Luc Picard with an artificial, lifelike body, the golem, during the attempted Romulan Zhat Vash invasion of Coppelius in the year 2399. (PIC episode: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2")

In 2401, it was discovered that before his death, Soong had built a new golem combining Data, Lore, B-4, Lal and parts of himself. (PIC episode: "The Bounty")
