Altarian fog was a weather phenomenon that could conceivably be found at a location in the vicinity of the Altar star system or the Ara constellation (known as "the Altar").

In the year 2268, while undercover as a pirate on planet Tortuga VI, Montgomery Scott told Kreel that Black Jack Nova couldn't hold a candle to Kirk in the middle of an Altarian fog. (TOS comic: "The Flight of the Buccaneer")
- "Altarian" is possibly a misspelling of "Altairian", but for the purposes of this wiki the Altar system is referenced.
