Alvanian brandy was an alcoholic beverage, a type of brandy.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2318, Jas Holza drank several glasses of Alvanian brandy after he learned he would play the lead role in the Bajoran people's official first contact with the Cardassians. (ST - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers)

In 2265, Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott was on shore leave on Drozana Station. He learned from Cassidy that she didn't like the salty tast of the Alvanian brandy but enjoyed that her drink was garnished with a drop of honey floating on the top. Scott opined that garnishes got in the way of a fine beverage, like putting a piece of pineapple on a 20-year single malt. Following a Devidian attack on the space station, Scott's advice led to the bartender making a nerve tonic for Cassidy that included a drop of honey. (STO - Spectres mission: "Night of the Comet")

In 2355, a fellow bar patron Kyle Riker had been talking to in a bar in San Francisco ordered an Alvanian brandy from Inis, a Deltan bartender. (ST - The Lost Era novel: Deny Thy Father)

Alvanian brandy was a popular beverage in Quark's on Deep Space 9's Promenade. (ST reference: Star Trek Cookbook)

In 2372, Julian Bashir was paid for treating a patient with a crate of Alvanian brandy. Bashir found it undrinkable and gave all of the bottles to Quark. (DS9 episode: "Body Parts")

Alvanian brandy was also in existence in the mirror universe. (DS9 - Mirror Universe novel: Saturn's Children)
