This character is a member of Spock's family native to the mirror universe.
This page details Amanda Grayson in the mirror universe; for the Amanda Grayson in the primary universe see Amanda Grayson; for the Amanda Grayson in the Kelvin timeline created by Nero's temporal incursion see Amanda Grayson (Kelvin timeline).
For other uses, see Amanda.
See Grayson for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

In the mirror universe, Amanda Grayson was the Terran wife of Sarek and mother of Spock. Spock often criticized his father for choosing to mate with a human, although he considered this ironic when he himself chose a human lover, Marlena Moreau, in 2267. She was one of the few Terrans who was aware that Vulcans possessed telepathic abilities.

Biography[]

In 2257, Amanda was on Qo'noS along with other members of the Rebellion.(DSC - Succession comic: "Issue 1")

Later in 2267, Amanda boarded the ISS Enterprise with her husband, to attend an imperial conference on Babel. Amanda attempted to repair the rift that had developed between her husband and son after Spock joined the Imperial Starfleet.

The Graysons were a powerful and wealthy Terran family with deep ties to the Sato Dynasty as they had played a key role in the development of weapons and defence technologies for the Terran Empire. Amanda used her influence to ensure that Spock regained command of the Enterprise after Grand Admiral Matthew Decker placed his son Willard Decker in command in 2270.

In 2277, her prestige was significantly increased when her son became the Emperor of the Terran Empire. However, in 2281, she began to suspect that Spock was secretly planning against the interests of the Empire. She voiced her concerns to her daughter-in-law Marlena, who immediately informed Spock. The Emperor then arranged for his mother to die in a shuttle accident. In 2292, Sarek told Spock that he understood why he had killed Amanda but that he would never forgive him for doing so. (TOS - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
