President Nanietta Bacco

President Bacco standing over the Amitra Desk in 2380.

The Amitra Desk was a large desk made of a hard, lightly-patterned material native to Atrea known as salish that was brought to the Palais de la Concorde and installed in the Ra-ghoratreii Room for use by Federation President Amitra of Pandril. The Amitra Desk was left at the Palais after President Amitra left office in 2369, but was not used by her successors, Jaresh-Inyo of Grazer or Min Zife of Bolarus. President Nanietta Bacco of Cestus, however, had the Amitra Desk installed in the Presidential Office for her use at the beginning of her term in late 2379. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)

The name of the desk is conjecture. The Amitra Desk may be seen as a counterpart to the Resolute Desk.
