Amoret was a character from the epic poem “The Faerie Queene” written by 16th century English poet Edmund Spenser.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1590, “The Faerie Queene” was published. In the poem, Amoret was a beautiful heroine who was rescued from an evil magician by a hero.

A female Human from the planet Rampart in the 24th century was named Amoret after the character. Rampartian Dissenters were named after characters from the mythology or fiction from Earth. (TNG novel: Gulliver's Fugitives)
